After purchasing dressed carcasses, Marufuji subdivides them into subprimal cuts, then sells them to customers via Yonekyu’s sales branches.

Our production facilities are the largest in the region and their proximity to the customer has allowed us to offer the freshest, best tasting poultry around. On a monthly basis, we are capable of processing 300,000 birds.

Established in December, 2006, to enhance our domestic procurement of poultry and to expand poultry sales, Yonekyu Tohaku products come with guaranteed traceability enabled by the start-to-finish production from chicks to finished product. Serving as a meat supplier base to the western part of Japan, it is processing 6,200,00 birds annually.

This plant has a production capacity of 2,300 tons of processed meat per month including ham and sausages and deli products. This large-scale production plant also maintains a food related research center on site.

Based on the strict quality control guidelines of U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), a food quality expert from Japan is stationed at this plant in order to also guarantee compliance with all of Yonekyu’s demanding requirements. Yonekyu USA also provides information to Japan regarding new food trends and other subjects of interest.

Today, Gotemba Kogen Beer is one of the largest pub breweries in Japan and currently attracts 650,000 people annually and produces 450 kiloliters of microbrew beer per year.
