History of Yonekyu

Dec. 1965
Founded to manufacture and wholesale meat products in Numazu, Shizuoka.
Feb. 1969
Incorporated as 「Yonekyu Meat Sale Service Corp.」
Nov. 1970
Constructed the main plant on current headquarter's premises in Numazu.
Jul. 1978
Changed the company name to 「Yonekyu Corp.」
Oct. 1981
Completed construction of our Gotemba Plant, the first production facility of authentic raw ham in the industry.
Oct. 1986
Registered with the Japan Securities Dealers Association for over-the-counter trading.
Mar. 1987
Established 「Oishii Tori Corp.」
Oct. 1991
Established 「Rugoa Yonekyu Food Corp.」 in China.
Dec. 1992
Acquired all outstanding shares of 「Seven Foods Service Corp.」
Sep. 1994
Established 「Gotemba Kogen Brewery, Co., Ltd.」, and entered into the beverage industry.
Shizuoka plant merged into head office processing and established the Yume plant.
Mar. 1995
Established 「Nangtong Fujimi Food Corp.」 in China.
Jul. 1995
Started full-scale production of sausages in California, United States.
Oct. 1996
Established 「Yonekyu Delica Corp.」
Listed in the No.1 Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Jun. 1997
Acquired beer brewing license from the Japanese government for Yonekyu Corp.
Aug. 1997
Acquired all outstanding shares of the Japanese-style pub restaurant chain, 「Chimney Corp.」
Oct. 1999
Acquired all outstanding shares of 「Yamaki Foods Co., Ltd.」
Sep. 2002
Established 「Yonekyu Kagayaki Corp.」
Nov. 2003
Established 「I-Pork Corp.」 as a supply base for domestic pork.
Apr. 2004
Food byproduct recycling operations commenced at Eco Project Center.
Dec. 2006
Established 「Yonekyu Tohaku Corp.」
Affiliate company 「Hirataya Corp.,」 became a fully consolidated subsidiary.

Mitsubishi Corp. became the largest shareholder, replacing Kirin Brewery Co., Ltd.

Liquidated Yoshinoya Corp., and withdrew from the book retailing business.

「Seven Foods Service Corp.」 and「Anzen Foods Co., Ltd.」 merged, and formed 「Yonekyu Delica Foods Corp.」
